"Start spreading the news. I'm leaving today..."

I can't believe I'm finally going to New York. I'll be gone for 10 days so you probably won't be hearing anything new from me for a while. However, I'll try to write updates on Kanoe. Don't forget, Miss America is Saturday, September 20. Watch it on ABC. Thank you for all the prayers and support.

Kanoe & Maila - Warm congratulations to you for your accomplishments in NJ - you did good! We are so proud of you for 1st Runner-Up and that great $40,000 scholarship, and Alika and Kamaki and his daughter Makayla are proud also.
We know you were the best but you'll have a great year on your own without the title!
