The Spirit of Aloha outreach on December 1 was truly special. It was great having Ho'okena there. We sang "The Prayer" for the first time live. The New Hope Halau choreographed it and I even got choked up during the song. I can't wait for everyone to hear it. It's on their new album, "Cool Elevation." The whole album is beautiful.
I think this is a picture of me singing "More." For more pictures of the event including Ben Vegas, Pastor Wayne, the Halau of New Hope, Kanoe, Pastor Wayne, and Ho'okena, click here.

So many wonderful things are happening lately. I'm traveling with Ho'okena to the Kona and Maui this month which I'm so excited about I can hardly stand it!! I've also recently hooked up with Music With a Message. It's a part of the American Lung Association encouraging kids to stay away from tobacco. Sorry, but I'm very against smoking. My mom suffers from severe asthma and I think everyone should be very thankful for the air they breathe. Anyway, we do motivational assemblies, particularly in the middle schools. It's a lot of fun and hopefully life changing for many kids. Because of this cause, I'm doing an interview with Sassy magazine next week and will be featured in the January/February issue.
We filmed a New Hope Christmas special a couple of weeks ago. Na Leo Pilimehana, Tiffany Thurston, Ben Vegas, Imua, and other artists were a part of it. Check your local listings, it should be airing soon!
Kanoe's back from China. Gosh, it seemed like she was gone forever! I didn't get to talk to her for 18 days. We're having fun catching up. Tonight we had steak and lobster aboard the Navatek. She's going to start singing on it soon. Then, we got some Christmas shopping done at Borders. I'm so bad because somehow I end up walking out with a gift for myself everytime. I bought an Eva Cassidy CD. My plan is to get my Christmas shopping done early this year. I'm usually such a procrastinator, but I'm over half way there. Woohoo!
By the way, I saw Justin Young a couple of weeks ago. I've always admired his talent. I also recorded a song with him on his album "Soothe You." It was great to see him again. He's doing very well. Be sure to check out his new Hawaiian album "One Foot On Sand."
We're still working on gaining airplay on KCCN, 98.5, and KINE. If you get a chance, please call and request songs like "Say What You Want," "The Fall," "Thank You For You," "I Love You," or "Back In The Good Old Days." I figure those are the most local radio friendly songs. Otherwise, I'm trusting in the Lord and where he plans to take my music and I'm very thankful to those who are supporting and enjoying it.
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:8).
Happy Shopping!
