Thanksgiving is almost here. Yumm...turkey, pumpkin pie, laughter, friends, family...I love it! There's so much to be truly grateful for. If you really want to be in the thankful mode, watch Hawaii Stars-Concert of Extraordinary Abilities Thanksgiving night on Channel 2. Kanoe and Pastor Wayne were judges and I was a guest performer.
This event was a tear jerker and a real eye opener. It's amazing to see people who are blind, deaf, or disabled in some way carry on and pursue their dreams. Although their bodies are inhibited, their hearts, faith, and grattitude are fully intact.

Kanoe and I have a niece, Brittany, who has Down's Syndrome. We're especially moved by people with disabilities because of her. She's the most honest, joyful, loving person I know. In no way do I think of her as disabled.

Be sure to watch the show and be prepared with a box of tissue! Have a very Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your loved ones. Thank you for all of you who are so supportive-Jane, Abi, "the twins," Stephen, Scott, Sarah, Sandy and many others. God Bless!
I'm so blessed to have picked up a sponsership from Oakley. Their glasses are the best. If I can just manage not to lose the ones I'm given it'll be great! I'm so used to wearing cheap-o glasses (somehow I always lose the good ones).
Thanks Oakley and thanks to Matthew Torry on Kauai for the photo.

Be sure to pick up Ho'okena's new CD "Cool Elevation." These guys are so talented and the most gentle hearted musicians in Hawaii. Their music is Hawaii!! I'm so blessed to have recorded "The Prayer" with them and can't wait for everyone to hear it. Stay tuned for my performances with them!
"Say What You Want" is climbing the charts on Kauai. Right now it's up 2 spots to number 7 on the top ten at 10. How exciting!
What a day! I was up early for the New Hope women's retreat in Makaha. Kanoe and I sang individually. She gave a very touching testimony about her experience at Miss Hawaii and Miss America. She explained through tears in her eyes and a cry in her voice how God's grace is sufficient. Her confidence is in him alone. Women especially need that assurance. It was awesome to be among women worshipping and serving the Lord. What a beautiful drive also.
I had two Borders performances today. They were both great. I enjoy initimate performances like that where I can discuss my songs and how I wrote them. The crowd was very receptive and warm. Thank you to those of you who always come out and support.
Don't forget to watch Hawaii Stars tomorrow at 6:30 and again at 10:30 on channel 2. You might see me! Also, my friends Janel Akana and Troy Lazaro, are in the competition and they're the bomb! Troy is especially entertaining. Watch and vote!

New Hope was awesome last weekend-as usual.
Pastor Wayne presented an amazing message on depression. Although he also talked about clinical depression, it was a message that could relate to anyone. I'm so thankful I got to be a part of it.
We sold a lot of CD's which was great, but more importantly, my hope is that it truly touches lives. Music is so much more than just making money, selling CD's, and becoming a star. Although all of that would be nice, what matters most to me is that my music inspires, uplifts, and points people to Jesus.
Thank you to those who have bought CD's and continue to be so supportive. Don't forget to check the shows page for upcoming appearances. Also, Hookena's CD "Cool Elevation" is coming soon!!
I can't believe it's already November!! Is time flying for everyone, or is it just me? Anyway, I'm finally going to sing in church this weekend. New Hope Christian Fellowship's services are today-5:00 and 7:00pm and tomorrow-7, 9, and 11am. I'll also be going back and forth between the Farrington location and the Sand Island location at the LEAD center. Those services are at 8 and 10am. Whew! It's gonna be busy, but it's gonna be a blessing.
